Is the Governing Body equal to Jesus? Jehovah’s Witnesses say it is.

This is Kenneth Flodin, a member of the Governing Body of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Listen to what he has to say about the subject. If this doesn’t show that they think they are equal to Jesus, I don’t know what would.

What is Beth-Sarim and Beth-Shan?

The Jehovah’s Witnesses’ second president, Judge Rutherford, believed that biblical patriarchs such as Abraham, Moses, David, Isaiah and Samuel, would be resurrected sometime in the 1920’s-1930’s. He built a 5,100 square foot, 10 room mansion property in San Diego California, because they would obviously need a place to live once they were resurrected. When they didn’t show up (shockingly), Rutherford himself moved into the mansion (how convenient) where he ultimately died. He wanted to be buried there but the permit for that was denied. The official story is that he is buried in New York, though some say he is actually buried in the concrete of the garage floor of Beth-Sarim.

So the story is that Judge Rutherford built it with his own money, and money that was donated from friends. Be that as it may, it was built for a purpose, prophesied resurrections by the president of the watchtower organization at the time, published about in “The Golden Age” magazine (which was published by the Watchtower) and vested to the watchtower organization who DID pay to maintain and upkeep the property WHILE Rutherford was alive and living there and after his death. The Watchtower quietly sold it off a few years after Rutherford’s death and pocketed the money. So don’t let any Jehovah’s Witness tell you that it was a “personal endeavor by Rutherford” and has no bearing on their history.

There’s no reason for me to re-invent the wheel on this, so go here to read all about it:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beth_Sarim

But wait, what is Beth-Shan you may ask? Most people have never heard of it, but it was basically an adjacent property where Rutherford wanted to be buried when his burial request at Beth-Sarim was denied by the city. His request to be buried at Beth-Shan was also denied by the city.

There’s no reason for me to re-invent this wheel either, so go here and read all about it:
http://www.equip.org/article/beth-shan-and-the-return-of-the-princes/

Most all Jehovah’s Witnesses of today have either never heard of this or they will completely deny it, or both.

Facts are facts though people… it’s a matter of public record.

Salvation by Denomination

Do not be misled. The Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that you MUST be a part of “Gods Spirit Directed Organization” (ie: the watchtower org) in order for God to retain the memory of you (re: Saved). They don’t call it “Saved” because they don’t believe in the promise of Salvation. They believe in a “hope” that if they are good enough, associated with the “True Religion” (ie: Jehovah’s Witnesses), that maybe God will “remember” and “recreate” them to live on a paradise earth. I say “recreate”, because they do not believe in a bodily resurrection. They believe that God will recreate you from his memory of you.

Sound crazy? That’s because it is.

Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that salvation requires association with “Gods Spirit Directed Organization” (re: The Watchtower Organization) and obedience to their rules. If you’re not a baptized, active Jehovah’s Witness in good standing, you will never be “remembered” by God.

We know that this is outright unbiblical. Let’s look at what the Bible requires for Salvation:

  • Galations 2:16 – “nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified.”
  • Ephesians 2:8-9 – “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

So we know that we are saved by grace and not by works as it’s a GIFT OF GOD. If you receive a gift from someone that’s truly a gift, that means you don’t have to give them anything for it, whether that is something materialistic or some kind of actions or work. If you have to pay them back with something, it’s NOT A GIFT.

How do we get to God though? Do we get to God by being associated with a particular denomination? A lot of religions believe this, but what does the Bible actually say? Let’s take a look.

  • John 14:1-6 – 1“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. 4“And you know the way where I am going.” 5Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” 6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
  • Romans 8:31-39 – 31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? 33Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; 34who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. 35Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36Just as it is written, “FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.” 37But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • John 10:27-30 – 30My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30“I and the Father are one.”

So what can we derive from the above verses? That Salvation is FREELY GIVEN, not earned by works OR by association with any denomination, group of people and definitely not an organization that’s never mentioned anywhere in the Bible.

I’ll leave you with one of the most well known verses in the Bible that plainly tells you that to have eternal life, and it has NOTHING to do with being associated with ANY group or denomination:

  • John 3:16 – 16“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Is Jesus the mediator for Jehovah’s Witnesses?

Here’s an important question to Jehovah’s Witnesses: Is Jesus Your Mediator?

First of all, what is a mediator? A mediator is someone who is able to make peace between parties who are in disagreement with each other. The Bible explicitly says that Jesus is the ONLY mediator between God and man.

So what does the Bible teach and what do Jehovah’s Witnesses teach? Are they the same? If they are NOT the same, if you are a Jehovah’s Witness, would you accept that?

Let’s look at a simple scripture that’s pretty clear as to what the Bible teaches:

  • 1 Timothy 2:5-6 – “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave Himself as a ransom for all…”

Every Jehovah’s Witnesses that I’ve talked to, absolutely agrees with this scripture and have not even once, said that Jesus was not their mediator when I’ve asked them.

Would you be surprised to learn that the Jehovah’s Witnesses actually teach that Jesus is ONLY the mediator for the 144,000 “Anointed” Jehovah’s Witnesses that are going to heaven? Well, SURPRISE!!! That’s EXACTLY what they teach.

Now, before you call me a liar and accuse me of attacking JW’s (as so often JW’s do), we can find this directly on their jw.org website so no one can honestly say that I’m trying to trick or lie to them. This isn’t “Old Light”… it’s current light.

Let’s take a look…
https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/w20141015/a-kingdom-of-priests/

  • Paragraph 15: “After instituting the Lord’s Evening Meal, Jesus made a covenant with his faithful disciples, often referred to as the Kingdom covenant. Unlike other covenants, in which Jehovah is one of the parties to the covenant, this is a personal covenant between Jesus and his anointed followers.” (emphasis mine, links removed.)
  • Paragraph 16: “… The glorified Jesus appeared to the apostle John in a vision and said: “To the one who conquers I will grant to sit down with me on my throne, just as I conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.” Thus, the Kingdom covenant is made with the 144,000  anointed Christians…” (emphasis mine, links removed.)

So if Jesus is the Mediator for ONLY the anointed 144,000, then who or what is the mediator for the rest of the “Great Crowd” of Jehovah’s Witnesses?

**Spoiler Alert**
It’s the 144,000 and the Watchtower Org itself.

Think about that for a minute. If Jesus is ONLY the mediator for the 144,000, then the 144,000 JW’s and Watchtower Org are the only other avenues by which you could possibly be saved. The JW’s teach that the 144,000 will be the mediators for the rest of the “faithful Jehovah’s Witnesses”. Do you realize that they have put themselves in the place of Jesus Christ? That they have put themselves on the same level, with the same power as Jesus Christ himself? If Jesus is NOT your mediator, then who is? The 144,000 and the Org. If they are your only other avenues, then you CANNOT deny that they have put themselves in the place of Jesus.

Now let’s review that scripture one more time:

  • 1 Timothy 2:5-6 – “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave Himself as a ransom for all…”

It’s no secret that the Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that you MUST be part of “God’s Spirit Directed Organization” (ie: Jehovah’s Witnesses) as a REQUIREMENT for salvation. This has been a long taught doctrine that’s not found anywhere in the Bible except with their twisted interpretation of scripture. To use their popular argument that the Trinity is obviously false because the exact word “Trinity” does not appear in the Bible… well guess what? Neither does “God’s Organization”.

I could go through posting Watchtower articles and quotes from their books, but this is such common knowledge about them, I’ll leave that up to you to google if it you’re interested, but for now, you know that the JW’s teach that Jesus (er, I mean Michael the Archangel) AND the Watchtower Org are Mediators between God and Man.

John 14:6:

  • Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

The Bible is extremely clear on this point.

  1. There’s only ONE way to the Father and that’s through Jesus.
  2. There’s only ONE mediator between God and Man, that’s Jesus.

Where does the Bible say ANYTHING about a “Spirit directed Organization” being a mediator or a way to the Father? IT DOESN’T.

I guess instead of saying “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” in John 14:6, he should have said “God’s Spirit Directed Organization and the 144,000 are the only two ways, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through THEM.” I wonder why he didn’t just say that since it’s a requirement to be saved apparently… (that’s sarcasm if it wasn’t obvious).

Michael the Archangel Timeline:

Ok let’s get this timeline straight. This is 100% correct based on the organizational teachings.

  1. Michael the Archangel is the first creation of God. He is created as God’s Son. (ZERO Scriptural support)
  2. The pre-human Jesus existed as Michael the Archangel in heaven. (ZERO Scriptural support)
  3. Michael then ceases to exist in his Archangel form. (ZERO Scriptural support)
  4. Michael’s consciousness was then transferred into the womb of Mary to become the human Jesus. He was ONLY a man, NOT Michael in human form. (ZERO Scriptural support)
  5. Jesus lived on earth until he was put to death where the man Jesus is now forever dead.
  6. Jehovah dissolves Jesus’s body into gasses. (ZERO Scriptural support)
  7. Jesus is recreated as Michael the Archangel and Jesus’s consciousness is transferred into the newly recreated Michael the Archangel. (ZERO Scriptural support)
  8. Michael the Archangel (Aka Jesus) exists on earth until he ascends to heaven. (ZERO Scriptural support)
  9. Jesus currently exists as Michael the Archangel in heaven, but you call him Jesus because you believe they are the same person. (ZERO Scriptural support)

If you’re reading this, is this something you could really possibly agree with?

If Jehovah’s Witnesses were honest pt. 3

John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever is associated with a man made organization from 1870 that’s never mentioned anywhere in the Bible, and viewed favorably by the 144,000, shall not perish, but will be recreated by God to live forever on the paradise earth.”

Am I reading that correctly? Maybe not…

Do Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Jesus was resurrected?

Do Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Jesus was resurrected? Guess what? That’s a big ol’ NOPE!

Simply put, being resurrected means to restore a dead person to life. JW’s don’t teach that this happened to Jesus. They teach that he was “raised from the dead as a spirit creature” meaning that he was actually re-created as Michael the Archangel, not in the body he died in. That being the case, nothing that was dead was restored to life so that means he was NOT resurrected.

They may call it a resurrection, but that’s simply not the case. Being re-created as a brand spankin’ new Archangel is NOT a resurrection…

If Jehovah’s Witnesses were honest pt. 2

Knock knock… Did you know that Jehovah (God) took one of his many sons, his first creation, a Mighty Archangel God++ named Michael, made him “cease to exist”, then re-created him as an embryo in the womb of the virgin Mary where he was then born as a human and grew up to be a perfect man named Jesus?

He lived on earth teaching the gospel, never once revealing that he was once this Mighty Archangel God to his disciples or to other humans. Even the writers of the books of the Bible didn’t know it, as for sure, they would have mentioned it. Jesus never said “I and the Mighty Archangel God are one”. He never once even said, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Mighty Archangel God”. Assuredly if he had, none of the Jews would have picked up stones to stone him because they would have never accused him of blasphemy and he would have never been killed on the torture stake.

Anyway, Jesus (aka Michael, the Mighty Archangel God) was put to death for blasphemy (against whom, we don’t know), buried in a tomb where Jehovah disposed of his body by dissolving it into it’s constituent elements or atoms. After 3 days, Jehovah re-created Michael, the Mighty Archangel God, with a new spirit body that was unlike any other. Even though this was really Michael, he continued to go by the name Jesus on earth and currently goes by both names in heaven, yet he still continues to kept his Mighty Archangel God identity a secret. Not only that, while on earth, he would manufacture different bodies that he would put on in order to keep people from recognizing him as the old human Jesus. Why would they recognize him as the old Jesus you might ask? We have no idea, BUT we do know that Michael, the Mighty Archangel God, manufactured a replica of Jesus’s old body, including his wounds, and let people touch it to prove to them that he was resurrected, when in actuality, he wasn’t. He was re-created as Michael, the Mighty Archangel God, not resurrected at all. By fooling people with Jesus’s old body, he made them believe that he was physically raised from the dead as he claimed he would be in John 2:19-21.

Through his human death, Michael, the Mighty Archangel God, became the mediator between Jehovah God and the 144,000 faithful believers that belong exclusively to our organization, which was created in the late 1800’s. Jehovah chose our Watchtower organization in 1919 as his ONLY means of spreading his word throughout the inhabited earth, even though we never mentioned this fact in our magazines until the 1950’s. No celebrations and no announcements of this happening anywhere until then. Also, if you aren’t associated with our Watchtower organization, known as the Jehovah’s Witnesses, you have no hope of everlasting life. No paradise earth, no heavenly hope at all. Our organization is a “Noah’s Ark” of sorts, as only faithful members that sell and distribute our magazines, and dedicate their lives to our “Ark” might possibly have the small chance of being remembered by Jehovah.

If Michael, the Mighty Archangel God, is only the mediator for the 144,000, then who is the mediator between Jehovah God and the rest of the people in our organization you might ask? Well that would be the “Ark” itself, the Watchtower Organization, because being a member is the only way that you may have that small chance at everlasting life on a paradise earth.

144,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses will live in heaven and the rest of the faithful magazine distributors / Jehovah’s Witnesses from our “Ark”, MIGHT have a chance to be remembered by Jehovah and be re-created to live forever on a paradise earth. The chance is small of course. It all depends on us being active in the preaching work, if we obey this organization’s every rule, believe this organization’s every belief, even if that belief changes (which it could at any moment (and has multiple times)), and only if we distribute enough magazines that we write and print ourselves. But even then, there are no guarantees. It could all be for nothing in the end. There’s no way to really be sure that any of us have everlasting life.

How do we know all of this? Because the Bible tells us so? NOPE! We know this because the Governing Body in New York told us so and threaten our eternal life if we dare to question them.

Now, won’t you join us and dedicate your life to our man made organization that’s never mentioned anywhere in the Bible at all?

++Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that God created his Son as Michael the Archangel and they also agree that He is the “Mighty God” of Isaiah 9:6 (He’s a Mighty God but not Almighty God).

If Jehovah’s Witnesses were honest pt. 1

If Jehovah’s Witnesses were up front and honest, they would tell you these things when they are offering you an in home Bible study:

  1. We believe that Jesus is Michael the Archangel.
  2. We believe that Jesus / Michael the Archangel is also Abaddon / Apollyon, the Angel of the abyss, the destroyer mentioned in Revelation 9:11.
  3. We deny the bodily resurrection of Jesus. We believe that Jesus was re-created as Michael the Archangel but didn’t reveal this to anyone while on earth or after his ascension.
  4. Jesus was not actually resurrected after he died. He was recreated as Michael the Archangel.
  5. God dissolved the body of Jesus into gasses instead of resurrecting it.
  6. We teach that Jesus manufactured different bodies to hide his identity after his resurrection but would re-manufacture his original (now dissolved) body to trick people (such as Thomas) into believing he was resurrected in the same body when he wasn’t.
  7. Only 144,000 people from our organization will make it into heaven. No one else.
  8. The rest of our faithful members might possibly inherit the paradise earth, but there are no guarantees.
  9. It is impossible for you to understand the Bible because it was not written for you. It was written ONLY for the 144,000 of our faithful members so only they can understand it.
  10. When we offer you a free home Bible study, we aren’t actually going to study the Bible. We are going to study a book that our organization wrote about the Bible.
  11. We have made multiple false prophecies since our inception, but continue to deny them even though there’s clear evidence that we published ourselves, that we refuse to even acknowledge.
  12. It is impossible for you to be saved without being in good standing with our organization that was only created in 1870, a mere 154 years ago.
  13. We put ourselves in the place of Jesus because Jesus is not your mediator, WE ARE. You can only benefit from Jesus’s sacrifice through your association with US.
  14. God chose our organization in 1919 as his ONLY means of communication to mankind, though we can’t prove this from the Bible… you’ll just have to believe us because we say so.
  15. Our organization is never mentioned in the Bible.
  16. Our organization is run by a few select men in New York, whom we cannot question, named the Governing Body.
  17. Not only can you not question the Governing Body, if you’re a member of our organization and at some point disagree with literally anything we teach, we’ll throw you out and you’ll be disowned by your entire family and all of your friends that are Jehovah’s Witnesses until you change your mind and agree with us.
  18. We have our own translation of the Bible where we have added the name Jehovah to the New Testament 237 times, even though we know that it does NOT appear there in ANY known manuscripts in existence.

Now that all of “the truth” is out there, would you like a free, in home “book about the Bible” study?

Is it ok to celebrate the birth of Jesus?

Jehovah’s Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas, birthdays, Thanksgiving or pretty much any other holiday that most people celebrate. But is there any actual scriptural basis for not celebrating the birth of Jesus? Well let’s take a look…

In Luke 2:8-20, a “multitude” of heavenly hosts appeared praising God that Jesus had been born.

  • 8 In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night.
  • 9 And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened.
  • 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;
  • 11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
  • 12 “This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
  • 13 And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
  • 14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”
  • 15 When the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, “Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us.”
  • 16 So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger.
  • 17 When they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child.
  • 18 And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds.
  • 19 But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart.
  • 20 The shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.

So if the angels and a “multitude of heavenly hosts” can rejoice and praise God for the event of his Son being born, if an angel of the Lord can “bring good news of great joy which will be for all the people” about his Son being born and if the shepherds went back glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen just as had been told to them, is there a reason why the birth of Jesus is NOT to be celebrated regardless of the date? NOPE! No valid reasons anyway…
